We are a bridge building ministry whose primary goal is to reach out to underprivileged children and help establish them in the local church. Our beginnings date back to our founders’ involvement with Prison Fellowship and Angel Tree ministries. After working with hundreds of people in prison, one theme became common, most had at least one parent who had been in jail. Breaking the cycle at home became an obvious need, and that is what we set out to do in 1999. While many think of mission trips as being oversees and out of the country, we think that Gospel Lakes provides a mission trip in our own back yard.

We’ve also grown into much more… from providing an easy entry to ministry for people who haven’t served before, training youth groups on how to evangelize, to a wonderful place to have your church, pastor or small group retreat, Gospel Lakes has a lot going on. Since our first camp, we have reached out to over 19,000 children with the Gospel and had over 4,700 professions of faith! We have trained thousands of youth on how to evangelize and be an effective leader in their community. And we have provided thousands of volunteers an easy opportunity to serve those less fortunate in their own town.
